The Misunderstandings Magazine team has been hard at work putting the finishing touches on our latest edition, and we'd like to invite you to Edward Nixon's livewords to celebrate the launch of our 9th issue (Spring 2008).

Join us on June 16th at the Concord Cafe for readings by Andre Babyn, Ryan Bird, Jeff Latosik, Kathryn Mockler, Timothy Ormond, Jacob Scheier and Lisa Young. We start 8:00 pm. There will also be an open stage and free subscriptions to be won!

We're hard at work on issue 8 of Misunderstandings Magazine. This time we're adding a special, maybe one-time-only, design feature, but you'll have to wait until November to see what. There's still time to submit, so what you waitin on?

Also, we'll be at the Small Press Book Fair on Saturday November 10, 2007. Stop by; we always love to meet our readers.

Thanks to our readers, our host, and all who showed up and showered the readers with their attention. It's your magazine too. Congratulations to our poetry prize winners, who won themselves a year's worth of Misunderstandings. Splendid.

It might be cold outside, but the crew Misunderstandings Magazine has been keeping warm with piles of submissions for our upcoming Winter Issue (#6). The issue will hit stores at the end of March and feature dual covers by the always inspiring Julie Lottering and an interview with "Surly" Dani Couture.

The official celebratory launch for Issue #6 will take place in conjunction with Edward Nixon & The Diamond Cherry Reading Series at the Renaissance Cafe. Mark you calenders for April 13 @ 8 pm, & stop by for performances by contributors Ryan Bird, Susie Petersiel Berg, Savatore Difalco and Triny Finlay.
